Calangute, 7th june – Gauravddo east claimed a 3-1 victory over Sauntavdoo B in the Calangute Association Inter Ward Tournament, showcasing their attacking prowess and defensive solidity.
The first half saw Gauravddo United’s high-pressing game pay off, as Jovito converted a penalty kick to give his team the lead. Sauntavdoo B struggled to break through Gauravddo’s defense, with their attacks being nullified by timely interceptions and tackles.
In the second half, Sauntavdoo B shifted gears, adopting a more aggressive approach and creating scoring opportunities. However, Gauravddo East’s goalkeeper made crucial saves to deny Sauntavdoo B’s attempts. Jovito doubled Gauravddo’s lead with another penalty, before Zico’s clinical finish from close range gave Sauntavdoo B a glimmer of hope. But Pankaj Shirodkar’s well-taken goal sealed the win for Gauravddo United.
