Spain took the lead through Martin Zubimendi’s goal in the 21st minute but Portugal equalized five minutes later with Nuno Mendes’ strike. Spain regained the lead just before halftime through Mikel Oyarzabal, but Cristiano Ronaldo’s clinical volley in the 60th minute leveled the score again.
