Village Panchayat Pilerne-Marra Promotes Green Farming Initiative
Saligao: As part of its annual commitment to promoting green cover and sustainable farming, the Village Panchayat of Pilerne-Marra distributed paddy seeds and fertilizers to local farmers at the Pilerne Panchayat premises. This proactive step encourages agricultural activities and supports our farmers in keeping the village’s rich farming heritage alive.
The distribution took place in the gracious presence of Hon’ble MLA & GSIDC Chairman Shri Kedar Naik, Reis Magos ZP Member Shri Sandeep Bandodkar, Sarpanch Reshma Bandodkar, Dy. Sarpanch Ajay R. Govekar, Panchayat Members Santosh Bandodkar, Ashwini Chodankar, Suvarnsing Rane, VDC Convenor Karan Govenkar, BMC Chairman Sayaji Rane, Panchayat Secretary Keshav Phadte, Panchayat Talathi Sarvesh Phadte, our dedicated Pilerne farmers, and villagers.
“We are committed to supporting our farmers and promoting sustainable agricultural practices that not only boost crop yields but also preserve our environment,” said MLA Kedar Naik,

“By promoting green farming, we aim to create a healthier environment and ensure food security for future generations,” added ZP member Sandeep Bandodkar.
Also aligning with Swayampurna Goem Mission inspired by Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, Our Hon’ble MLA Kedar Naik was presented with Bananas grown by Pilerne – Marra Village Panchayat at their Greenland Farm, Saulem, reinforcing the progress of local farming under the Swayampurna Goa initiative.
