Goa Celebrates 11th International Yoga Day with Chief Minister’s Presence
In a grand display of unity and wellness, the state of Goa celebrated the 11th International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm, as Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant inaugurated the State Level function at the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium in Taleigao. The event, organized by the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, in collaboration with the Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs, National Ayush Mission, and Directorate of Health Services Goa, saw a massive turnout of students, government officials, and yoga enthusiasts.
The theme for this year’s International Yoga Day, ‘Yoga for One Earth One Health’, resonated deeply with the attendees, emphasizing the importance of yoga in promoting overall well-being and sustainability. The Chief Minister was accompanied by Chief Secretary Dr. V. Candavelou, IAS, DGP Shri Alok Kumar, IPS, and other senior government officials, who all participated in the yoga session, setting a powerful example for the community.
