Goa CM Approves Key Infrastructure Projects Worth Crores
Panaji: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant chaired the 206th Board Meeting of the Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC), where several major infrastructure projects were approved. These projects aim to enhance public convenience, urban rejuvenation, and institutional development in the state.
The projects include upgradation of Municipal Market in Sankhali, demolition and reconstruction of St. Estevam Bridge, Tiswadi, at a cost of ₹21 crore, and construction of a new boys’ hostel at Goa Medical College, Bambolim, at a cost of ₹113 crore.
Additionally, the redevelopment of old government buildings in Margao, including the Old Collectorate Building and Police Headquarters, development of the old bus stand in Margao at a cost of ₹12 crore, and ancillary and maintenance works at Ravindra Bhavan, Sankhali, at a cost of ₹3 crore were also approved.
These projects are expected to improve infrastructure, enhance public amenities, and promote urban development in Goa. The Chief Minister’s approval of these projects demonstrates the government’s commitment to investing in the state’s infrastructure and improving the quality of life for its citizens.
