Goa Marathi Film Festival Celebrates Cinema’s Magic
The 14th edition of the Goa Marathi Film Festival was inaugurated by Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant on August 9, 2025, at INOX Panjim and Maquinez Palace. The festival, organized by the Vinson Group, showcased over 20 films, including eight world premieres, and featured an AI workshop on filmmaking. Dr. Pramod Sawant, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa, graced the occasion in the presence of Siolim MLA Delilah Lobo, emphasizing the state’s commitment to developing its film industry and ecosystem. Veteran actor Dr. Mohan Agashe was honored with the prestigious “Krutadnyata Puraskar” for his outstanding contributions to the world of storytelling. The film “Niravadhi,” directed by Shri Mahesh Manjrekar, had its grand world premiere at the festival. The event was attended by distinguished guests, including Mahesh Manjrekar, Mrinal Kulkarni, and other prominent personalities from the Marathi film industry. The festival took place from August 9-10, 2025, at INOX Panjim and Maquinez Palace, featuring over 20 films and an AI workshop on filmmaking.
