Calangute MLA Pays Tribute to late Dayanand Bandodkar, Urges Youth to Follow His Vision”

Calangute MLA Michael Lobo paid rich floral tributes to Goa’s first Chief Minister, Dayanand Bandodkar, on his death anniversary at his memorial on Calangute Beach. Lobo praised Bandodkar’s revolutionary contributions to education, stating that Goa’s 100% literacy rate is a testament to Bandodkar’s efforts. He urged the youth to follow Bandodkar’s vision and leadership.

The event was attended by MGP leader Eknath Nagvekar, Calangute Sarpanch Joseph Sequeira, and members of the Bandokar Samiti. Lobo emphasized Bandodkar’s objective of providing education to everyone, saying, “If Goa boasts of being a literate state, it’s because of Bandodkar’s efforts.”

Lobo highlighted Bandodkar’s achievements in land reforms, education, and infrastructure development.

Sarpanch Joseph Sequeira added, “Today, as we pay tribute to the visionary leadership of Dayanand Bandodkar, we honor not just his legacy but the foundation he laid for Goa’s progress. His contributions to education, land reforms, and infrastructure development paved the way for our state’s growth and prosperity.”
