700 Goa Police Recruits Graduate with Flair: A New Era of Inter-State Cooperation
Panaji: In a grand ceremony held at the prestigious Lachit Borphukan Police Academy in Assam’s Golaghat district, 700 recruits of the Goa Police successfully completed their 43-week rigorous training. The passing-out parade was attended by Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, marking a significant milestone in inter-state police cooperation.
The training program was hailed by both Chief Ministers as a symbol of national unity and professional excellence. The recruits underwent intense instruction in physical fitness, mental resilience, field tactics, and weapon handling. This initiative aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Akhanda Bharat” and underscores the growing importance of inter-state collaboration in policing.
The ceremony featured a disciplined march past, oath-taking, and prize distribution, showcasing the recruits’ skills and discipline. The academy’s elite “Panthers on Wheels” unit put up a special display, demonstrating their expertise and agility. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed pride in the academy’s ability to train forces from across the country, while Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant lauded the high-quality training provided by the Assam government and LBPA.
