Margao: In a significant development for Goa’s fisheries sector, Minister Shri Nilkanth Halarnkar inaugurated a new 50-seater Sulabh Shouchalay complex and an auction shed on the new fishing jetty at the Cutbona Fisheries Complex in Salcete. The event was attended by Velim MLA Shri Cruz Silva Velim, Secretary (Fisheries) Shri Prasanna Acharya, and Director of Fisheries Dr. Shamila Monteiro.

Halarnkar also laid the foundation stone for a 100 KLD sewage treatment plant, which will help maintain environmental sustainability and hygiene in the area.
