Goa State Climate Change Cell Leads the Charge in Beach Cleaning Drive on International Coastal Cleanup Day
Benaulim: In a significant step towards preserving Goa’s coastal beauty and promoting sustainable tourism practices, the Goa State Climate Change Cell organized a comprehensive beach cleaning drive at Cavelossim Beach as part of #SevaPakhwada 2025, coinciding with the International Coastal Cleanup Day on Saturday
The event saw active participation from local residents, students, NGOs, and community groups, emphasizing the importance of collective responsibility in maintaining Goa’s scenic beaches. The cleaning drive resulted in the collection of significant amounts of waste, including plastic, metal, cloth, rubber, and paper debris, which were segregated and handed over to the local authorities for proper disposal.
