Mr. Ronald Ferandes, a resident of Reis Magos, Verem Nerul, has filed a complaint against Mr. Mahadev Chorlekar for encroaching upon his property and erecting an illegal structure without proper authorization.
The incident came to light when Mr. Ferandes discovered that a portion of his land had been occupied by Mr. Chorlekar, who had brazenly constructed a building without obtaining the necessary permissions. The encroached property, which was legally allotted to Mr. Ferandes, is located in the serene and picturesque neighborhood of Reis Magos.
Expressing his distress, Mr. Ferandes said, “I was shocked to find that my property had been encroached upon and a structure had been erected without my knowledge or consent. This has caused immense inconvenience and financial loss for me.”
Local authorities have been notified of the complaint, and an investigation is underway to determine the extent of the illegal occupation and unauthorized construction. Mr. Ferandes has demanded swift action to rectify the situation and restore his property rights.
The encroachment issue has sparked concerns among other residents of Reis Magos, who fear similar occurrences and the potential disruption of their peaceful community. They are now urging the concerned authorities to take immediate action against illegal land occupation and construction, ensuring that justice is served.
When approached for comment, a representative from the local municipal corporation assured that appropriate measures would be taken to resolve the matter. “We take such complaints seriously and are committed to upholding the rule of law. The necessary steps will be taken to address this issue and prevent any further illegal activities,” the representative stated.
Encroachments and unauthorized constructions have been a persistent problem in many parts of the city, leading to a loss of public and private land, as well as compromising the aesthetics and safety of the neighborhood. Efforts by local authorities to curb such activities have been intensified in recent times, and strict actions are being contemplated to deter such illegal encroachments.
