mapusa MLA Joshua dsouza has said that the problem of constant power interruptions for the people of mapusa will be resolved as works of laying of underground cabeling worth rs 116 cr is in the pipeline
addressing reporters Mapusa MLA said that
this work will help in solving the power problem for mapusa as due to the cyclone last year a lot of power infrastucture was damaged so the people faced a lot of problems and some had to wait without pwoer for days” said Joshua
“this underground power line will include HTL and LTL lines as it was a long pending demand of the people of mapusa to have an underground power line like how it was done in some other constituencies” said Joshua
the wok of laying of the undergorund power line will commence phase wise in the next five to 10 days and the work contract has been awarded to swastika infra PVt ltd” said dsouza
“i assure the people that after laying this underground cabling they will not face aby problem of electricity outages in the future and even if there is a big storm the people will have uniterupted power supply ” said dsouza
speaking further Joshua said that the works of interim bus stand which were taken by GSUDA costing around 3.31 cr has also commenced and said that the first phase
of the work will be be compelted by december 19
speaking further Joshua said that the refurbishing works of the roads worth rs 17.8 by the MMC in collaboration with the PWD will also commence shortly
“we have been able to initiate several developement works worth nearly hundred and 40 crore since my tenure despite the state facing a severe financial crunch due to the pandemic” Joshua further said
