Calangue BJP’s Candidate Joseph Sequeira has said that his topmost priority will be to give 24 hours water supply and uninterrupted electricity and to also provide proper roads to individual houses in calangute constituency
sequira was speaking to reporters at the sidelines of a bike rally as part of his campaigning which had to be eventually cancelled due to the sad demise of India’s nightingale late Lata Mangueshkar also present were Union minister Shripad naik, former Saligao MLA Dilip Parulekar and a large number of BJP supporters earlier sequeira also visited a temple to seek the blessings of God .
the present MLA had failed to do solve the issues of the people with regards to water electricity and roads and so now my main priority will be to solve all the three major needs of the people like water, electricity and roads to individual houses” said Joseph sequeira
when questioned about what he would do concrete if he is elected Sequeira said that everything is in the pipeline as the central government has given them a lot aid including the state government he also opined that there should be a reduction in the taxes which are being implemented on the shack owers, and the taxi drivers which have not be addressed properly due to misunderstandings of the previous MLA
“Enough is enough and for the last years we have not seen any development and i have gone to some of the interior villages in the constituency and have noticed that there is no proper electricity, or even street lights, and water supply and the MLA is boasting about development when no developement had been done ” said Sequeira
when questioned about whether TMC party which he quit to Join the BJP would pose a challenge to him sequeira said that TMC is a new entrant into Goan politics
TMC has just entered Goan politics and do you feel that the people will vote for new party?” questioned Joseph and appealed to the people to vote for the BJP and bring it back to power in calangute constituency
Union Minister Shripad Naik expressed his confidence that the BJP would win a thumping majority.
