A day after the Congress Delegation met the Chairman of GSPCB and submitted a Memorandum demanding action against the Sewage Treatment Plant at Baga which is discharging Untreated Sewage Water in the Baga River a site inspection of the STP was carried out by the JEE of the pollution control board late Friday evening .
During the site inspection by the Juniour engineer Raj Mohan Prabhudessai it came to light that there is no discharge from the pipeline and that the black leachate coming out from the pipeline will instead be used to make gobbar gas . The Junior engineer from the pollution control board along with the superviour also collected the sample of the discharge which will be sent for analysis .
The chlorine contain tank was empty and the discharge pipe line to the baga creek has also been found dry so there is no discharge and whatever the congress party has pointed out to the GSPCB chairman has been done without properly ascertaining and studying the matter ” said Junior engineer Raj mohan Prabhudessai
The delegation should have first visited this plant here and seen the reality and only then jump into conclusion before making false allegations Prabhudessai further said
