A delegation comprising of eleven media professionals and two officials from Press Information Bureau (PIB) in Sikkim has arrived in Goa on Sunday for a week-long visit. This media tour is being organized under the guidance of Shri Pranab Kumar Nath, Assistant Director at PIB Guwahati, in close collaboration with PIB Goa and the Department of Information and Publicity (DIP) Goa.
The primary objective of this press tour is to provide firsthand exposure to various Government of India’s initiatives being implemented in Goa, foster interaction between journalists from Sikkim and Goa, and offer journalists from Sikkim the opportunity to gain insights into Goa’s socio-economic and cultural dynamics etc.
Furthermore, a meeting with the Chief Minister of Goa, Shri Pramod Sawant, as well as representatives from the Goa Union of Journalists is expected during their visit.
During their stay in Goa, besides visiting flagship programmes, the team will also visit National Institute of Oceanography, National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research, Mormugao Port Trust, Green School- Shree Rakhumaee Government Primary School and Atal Setu, Zuari Bridge, among others.
