CONGRESS COMMITTEE TAKES UP TRAFFIC CONCERNS IN CALANGUTE
Calangute: The Calangute Block Congress Committee, led by Block President Lourenco Silveira, has taken up the issue of growing traffic congestion in the area, causing hardships to commuters. To address this concern, the committee, along with Goa Pradesh Youth Congress V.P Vivek Dsilva  met with the P.I Traffic Cell Calangute on Saturday.
“The issue of traffic congestion in Calangute is a pressing concern that requires immediate attention,” said Vivek Dsilva, Goa Pradesh Youth Congress V.P. “As responsible citizens, it is our duty to work together to find a solution to this problem, which is not only causing inconvenience to commuters but also affecting the local economy.”he said
The meeting discussed traffic congestion issues caused by oversized buses and tourist vehicles entering villages, resulting in narrow roads becoming choked and frequent traffic jams.
“We’ve received numerous complaints from residents and tourists about traffic congestion in Calangute,” said Lourenco Silveira, Block President of the Calangute Block Congress Committee. “We hope this meeting with the Traffic Cell will help us find a solution to this growing problem.”
The Calangute Traffic Cell, responsible for managing traffic flow and control in the region, has been working to address traffic congestion issues. However, the issue remains a major concern for residents and tourists. The meeting was a crucial step towards finding a solution to the traffic congestion issues plaguing the area.
