GOAN SINGER HONORED AT ST. FRANCIS XAVIER EXPOSITION

Old Goa: Renowned Goan singer Lorna Cordeiro was bestowed with a memento by Ms. Deepti Gaonkar, Deputy Director (Higher Education), at the 18th Exposition of Sacred Relics of St. Francis Xavier in Old Goa.
The ceremony, held at the Basilica of Bom Jesus, recognized Lorna’s outstanding contributions to Goan culture and music. Deepti Gaonkar praised Lorna’s dedication to preserving and promoting Goan heritage through her art. Lorna Cordeiro has performed at international platforms, showcasing Goan music and culture.
“The honor is a testament to the power of music in unifying our community,” said Lorna Cordeiro. “I’m grateful for this recognition and pledge to continue promoting Goan culture.”
