CM Dr. Pramod Sawant Launches CARES Initiative, Awards Young Coders*
In a significant boost to education in Goa, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant launched the Educational Resources & Products of CARES – Coding & Robotics Education in Schools Scheme. The launch took place in the presence of several dignitaries, including Education Secretary Shri Prasad Lolayekar, IAS; Director of DTE Dr. Vivek Kamat, Director of DoE Shri Shailesh Zingade, and Nodal Officer for CARES Dr. Vijay Borges.
The Chief Minister also distributed prizes to the winners of the Goa Codes 2024 competition, recognizing the talented young coders of the state. Additionally, Master Amol Naik of Murgaon High School, Sada, and Master Aditya Naik of Shantadurga High School, Bicholim, were awarded the CARES Creative Content Creator 2024 awards for their outstanding contributions to coding and robotics.
This initiative is expected to enhance the educational landscape in Goa, providing students with valuable skills in coding and robotics. With the launch of CARES, Goa is poised to become a hub for innovation and technological advancement.
