MAPUSA: A major fire broke out at a house located near Zagrakade, Dandyar, Siolim, on saturday at around 10:07 hours.
According to eyewitnesses, the fire started from the ground floor of the house and quickly spread to the upper floors, engulfing the entire structure.
Firefighters from the Mapusa Fire Station rushed to the scene and battled the blaze for over an hour before bringing it under control.
Fortunately, no casualties were reported, and the occupants of the house managed to escape safely.
The cause of the fire is still unknown and is being investigated by the authorities.
The fire has caused significant damage to the property, and the estimated loss is yet to be determined.
The Mapusa Fire Station has appealed to the public to take necessary precautions to prevent such incidents in the future.
