Margao: Madgaon Royals registered a comprehensive 59-run victory over Canacona Mathagram United in the Alcon GSB Unity Cup T20 Cricket Tournament. The event was organized by the Goa GSB Sports & Charitable Trust in collaboration with the Goa Saraswat Samaj at the MCC ground in Margao.

Batting first after losing the toss, Madgaon Royals posted a strong total of 179/7 in 20 overs. Arsh Sardesai (40 off 23 balls), Sanat Prabhudesai (38 off 24), and Aditya Dalal (35 off 21) powered their innings with crucial contributions. Pranav Kamat (2/10) and Vrushab Kuncolienkar (2/32) were the top bowlers for Canacona Mathagram United.

In response, Canacona Mathagram United fell short, getting bowled out for 120 in 15.1 overs. Their top scorers were Amey Rajadhyax (30 off 26), Viraj Puranik (24 off 12), and Sumiran Amonkar (19 off 11). However, the Madgaon Royals’ bowling attack, led by captain Vikram Gaitonde (3/22) and Aditya Dalal (2/23), ensured a comfortable win for their side.

For his stellar all-round performance, Aditya Dalal was adjudged Man of the Match.
