Alcon GSB Unity Cup Semis on 4th May
Margao: The final group Matches of the Alcon GSB Unity Cup t- 20 cricket tournament were called off on Saturday due to heavy rain at the MCC ground in Margao. This included a crucial group ‘A’ match between Rangers and Mathagram Warriors. Both teams received one point each for this cancelled fixture. With this one added point The Rangers with total of seven points reach the semifinals, while the Warriors opened their points account to end the campaign.
Mapusa Dream Crushers (6 points) were also in contention to reach Semis but Rain spoiled their chances. The match between the bottom two teams of Group B, Knight Archers and Antruz Rising Stars, was also cancelled. This tournament is Organized by Goa GSB Sports and Charitable Trust in association with Goa Saraswat Samaj. the semi-finals of the tournament will be played between Sinq Rangers and Margao Royals at 9.30 am and Rangers and Antruz Strikers at 2.00 pm at the MCC Ground in Margao on Saturday (4 May). Finals will be on Sunday 5th May.
